The Cracked Pot…

I want to do great things! I want to change the world by magnificent acts of kindness! I want to leave a huge legacy of honesty and love for my children and grandchildren!

But today I somehow managed to buy a can of cat food while buying ingredients for a family dinner! I should make it clear that I don’t have a cat!! But when I unpacked my food items there was a random can of cat food.  What?!? That doesn’t sound magnificent, that sounds weird.  This is a moment when my desires and dreams clash with my reality.  Don’t you sometimes feel like this? Your desires and your reality sometimes don’t quite match up! You mess up, make mistakes, experience embarrassing moments. Well, if you feel this way I have good news! God LOVES you despite what you do or don’t do well. You can’t earn God’s LOVE, nor can you decrease it. You can reject it though. God lavishes His LOVE over mankind with no strings attached. Our only part is accepting it (or rejecting it). So the next time you mess up, remind yourself that God’s LOVE covers you and keep moving forward. Keep the desires God places in your heart moving full force and fully accept God’s LOVE for you!

Oh, and by the way, dogs love cat food (true story!).
